About us
The Background
As a long time member of the childcare community in Anchorage, Alaska, and graduate of UAA, I have had the opportunity to learn so much in my field. I have been immersed in the childcare and children's mental health field for over thirteen years, which means I’ve had many different experiences that have built me into the skilled child care professional I am today.
Over the years I have developed a program that provides a safe, loving, secure and supportive in-home environment for children to learn, grow and explore in. A beautiful space immersed in an atmosphere of safety and joy, crafted to inspire children, build their confidence and take their first steps toward a lifelong love of learning.
Our mission
Think. Reason. Question. Experiment. These are just a few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at Little Picasso's Childcare. Since our founding, we’ve focused on supporting kids during all transitions throughout childhood from ages 6 weeks-11 years.

What our program offers
The Best Family Child Care
Sensory Exploration
Sensory play activities stimulate your child's senses which supports their brain and language development, gross motor skills, social interaction and problem-solving skills.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor play helps children grow socially, helping them to develop healthy ways of forming friendships, responding to physical interaction, and using their imaginations to entertain each other and themselves.
Art Lessons
Through early art experiences, children learn about their bodies and explore their world. As children scribble on a page or make up a scene, they solve problems and build creative skills. They learn to express their ideas and share their thoughts. From an early age, the arts help us communicate and connect.
Imaginative Play
Imaginative play fosters creativity while developing social, emotional, cognitive, and language skills. Consequently, through pretend play, your child learns to express themselves and build positive relationships.
Small group learning
With only 3-6 children in our program, we are able to individually meet the needs of your child(ren). Small group learning allows us to meet children where they are, introducing ideas and activities that are just the right level of challenging for each child.
Nutritious meals
Proudly serving breakfast, lunch, and two snacks throughout the day.
